Want motivated superstars in your team? You can have them with a few small changes.
Add Fun – Sometimes we associate fun with laziness but it actually the opposite if you want to create a team of superstars. If you serve or interact with customers a team that has fun creates a experience with the customers that they remember long after leaving the store. Fun also makes your employees love to come to work which has many benefits. Fun can be added by music, dress up, team interaction or even promotions. The main thing is to not over think it, just try little things and see how your team reacts. Once you start the ball rolling get the team involved and it will grow from there.
Add stretch to individuals – All teams want to keep things interesting so your role is to make sure you are adding new challenges and stretches to the individuals in your team to meet where they are right now. Be big or small stretch keeps things interesting and ensures your team don’t feel like everyday is the same. Just make sure there is purpose to your stretch activities and that you support the team during the process.
Praise – You know how you couldn’t run your business without the great team you have, so why don’t you tell them? You can not give people enough praise so make it your mission to let your people know how valuable they are to you and the business they make happen. But keep it simple and genuine.
